Women with Grace

Purpose Statement:  Methodist Women (MW) shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ: to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.  At Coldspring Methodist Church, women have formed fellowship groups to live out that purpose, to support each other and to share God’s love through mission.

Our Methodist Women would love to have you join them in 2023, there are several circles that you may be interested in learning more about.  They have several fundraising projects a year which have included the famous Methodist Women garage sale and the wonderful Christmas dinner held in December with a silent auction.  This group have donated to local missions such as Care Share.

Share the Bread

This circle of women take food to shut-ins on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 1pm.  They share the cooking responsibility and spend time with a devotional.

Book Club

The Book Club meets every second Tuesday of the month at 9:30.  We read and discuss a book per month.

Prayer Blankets

This circle of women meet on the 3rd Friday of every month at 10am creating these special prayer blankets.  No experience necessary, easy to learn how to tie the blankets with loving fingers.  Some women make prayer blankets, baby clothes, or other items in need while other women do community work for nursing homes, make goodie boxes for students and military, and sort coupons for the military.  After the meeting, we have lunch and celebrate monthly birthdays within our group.

Busy Bodies

This circle of women like to do crafts and are looking for someone that would like to devote their creativity to jumpstart this circle in 2023.
