Coldspring Methodist Church

Purpose Statement:  United Methodist Women (UMW) shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.  At Coldspring United Methodist Church, women have formed fellowship groups to live out that purpose, to support each other and to share God’s love through mission.

Service and Fellowship

∞All women are invited∞

You can participate in one, or all of the groups

Book Club:  The Book Club meets every second Tuesday of the month at 9:30. We read and discuss a book per month.

Share the Bread:  This group meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month.  We provide food and a sermon CD to those who are home bound and people who are ill.

Prayer Blanket/Busy Bodies:  This group of women meet the third Friday of the month at 10:00 a.m.

Some women make prayer blankets, baby clothes, or other items in need while other women do community work for nursing homes, make goodie boxes for students and military, and sort coupons for the military.  After the meeting, we have lunch and celebrate monthly birthdays within our group.

Come and join us, and bring a friend with you.  Please contact the church office at 936-653-2287 to find out where each group is meeting.  If you need transportation, let us know, we would be glad to give you a ride.
