Pastors David & Anita Green joined CUMC in June, 2009.
David was born in Baytown, Texas and grew up in Mont Belvieu, which is 30 miles east of Houston. He was baptized and joined the United Methodist Church at age 17.
David graduated Lamar University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology; then graduated SMU Perkins School of Theology with a Masters Degree (Mdiv) in 1989.
David & Anita met at Perkins and married in 1986. Anita, born and raised in Alabama is also an ordained minister.
David has served churches at Pasadena, Lone Star, Atascocita, Houston, Bryan, Bridge City, and now Coldspring.
Anita served at Hope Hull UMC in Alabama and was a minister at Highland
Park UMC and Walnut Hill UMC in Dallas; a Chaplain at Hermann Hospital
in Houston and at Bradfield and Jenkins UMC's in Daingerfield. Anita is now on disability leave with Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome.
David & Anita spent a year in England working with the British Methodist Church.
David enjoys fishing, hunting and sports. David & Anita share their home with Nevis, a West Highland White Terrier.
